geehrte Redaktion,
hinter
der sperrigen Behörden-Vokabel „ICD-11“ verbirgt sich ein
menschliches Drama, das Millionen Deutsche betrifft. Burkhard
Tomm-Bub (68) aus Ludwigshafen hat genug vom Schweigen des Systems
und trägt nun seine eigene Haut zu Markte.
Hier
ist die Geschichte eines Kämpfers, der nicht aufgibt:
Burkhard
Tomm-Bub ist krebsoperierter Rentner und zu 50 % dauerhaft
schwerbehindert. Als ehemaliger Diplom-Sozialarbeiter und
ehrenamtlicher Suchtkranken-Helfer hat er sein Leben lang anderen
geholfen. Doch privat erlebte er eine Ohnmacht, die ihn zum
Aktivisten machte: Über Jahre hinweg musste er den körperlichen,
seelischen und finanziellen Niedergang einer Mitarbeiterin und engen
Freundin mit ansehen. Ihr Leiden, verursacht durch chronische
Borreliose und Co-Infektionen, wird vom aktuellen deutschen
Abrechnungssystem (ICD-10) schlicht ignoriert.
„Deine
Krankheit gibt es nicht!“
Aus diesem Alptraum heraus
handelte Tomm-Bub. Er textete Songs, erstellte Info-Blogs und reichte
schließlich eine offizielle Petition beim Deutschen Bundestag ein
(ID 186702). Sein Ziel: Die schnellstmögliche Einführung der neuen
WHO-Klassifikation ICD-11, die endlich Diagnosen und Therapien für
diese und etliche andere „unsichtbaren“ Krankheiten ermöglichen
würde.
Rekordverdächtige
Verzögerung im Petitionsausschuss
Doch der Staat ließ ihn
zappeln: Statt der üblichen 56 Tage dauerte die Prüfung seiner
Petition auf „Veröffentlichungswürdigkeit“ rekordverdächtige
195 Tage. Eine Zeit, in der Betroffene weiter ohne Hilfe blieben.
Trotz anschließender prominenter Unterstützung durch den
Kriminalbiologen Dr. Mark Benecke, Prof. Jean-Pol Martin, Bundesverdienstkreuzträgerin Ute Fischer und den Borreliose und FSME Bund Deutschland e.V. ließen die
großen Leitmedien das Thema bisher links liegen.
Die
Uhr tickt: Nur noch bis zum 11. Mai
„Manchmal denke ich,
das alles ist nur ein skurriler Alptraum“, so Tomm-Bub, „Ich
weiß, dass es sehr, sehr vielen Menschen so geht, wie dem mir
vertrauten Menschen!“ Damit dieser böse Traum nicht für Millionen
Kranke weitergeht, braucht er nun 30.000 Unterschriften bis zum
11.05.2026.

Subject: 195 Days on Hold – A Man Fights the Bureaucratic Backlog in the Bundestag
Dear Editors,
Behind the cumbersome bureaucratic term "ICD-11" lies a human drama affecting millions of Germans. Burkhard Tomm-Bub (68) from Ludwigshafen has had enough of the system's silence and is now putting his own skin on the line.
Here is the story of a fighter who refuses to give up:
Burkhard Tomm-Bub is a retired cancer survivor and has a 50% permanent disability. As a former social worker and volunteer addiction counselor, he has dedicated his life to helping others. But in his private life, he experienced a sense of powerlessness that turned him into an activist: For years, he witnessed the physical, emotional, and financial decline of a colleague and close friend. Her suffering, caused by chronic Lyme disease and co-infections, is simply ignored by the current German billing system (ICD-10).
"Your illness doesn't exist!"
This nightmare spurred Tomm-Bub into action. He wrote songs, created informational blogs, and finally submitted an official petition to the German Bundestag (ID 186702). His goal: The quickest possible implementation of the new WHO classification ICD-11, which would finally enable diagnoses and therapies for this and numerous other "invisible" diseases.
Record-breaking delay in the Petitions Committee
But the government kept him waiting: Instead of the usual 56 days, the review of his petition for "publication" took a record-breaking 195 days. A period during which those affected remained without help.
Despite subsequent high-profile support from forensic biologist Dr. Mark Benecke, Prof. Jean-Pol Martin, recipient of the Federal Cross of Merit Ute Fischer, and the German Lyme Disease and Tick-borne encephalitis association, the major media outlets have so far ignored the issue.
The clock is ticking: Only until May 11th.
"Sometimes I think this is all just a bizarre nightmare," says Tomm-Bub. "I know that so many people are going through the same thing as the person I know!" To prevent this nightmare from continuing for millions of sick people, he now needs 30,000 signatures by May 11, 2026.
The petitioner has made all his information and playlists available in the public domain: "Everyone should be able to access the information!"

Derrière le terme bureaucratique complexe « CIM-11 » se cache un drame humain qui touche des millions d'Allemands. Burkhard Tomm-Bub (68 ans), de Ludwigshafen, n'en peut plus du silence du système et prend désormais des risques.
Voici l'histoire d'un homme qui refuse de baisser les bras :
Burkhard Tomm-Bub, retraité et ayant vaincu un cancer, souffre d'une invalidité permanente de 50 %. Ancien travailleur social et conseiller bénévole en toxicomanie, il a consacré sa vie à aider les autres. Mais dans sa vie privée, il éprouvait un sentiment d'impuissance qui l'a poussé à s'engager : pendant des années, il a assisté au déclin physique, émotionnel et financier d'une collègue et amie proche. Ses souffrances, causées par la maladie de Lyme chronique et des co-infections, sont tout simplement ignorées par le système de facturation allemand actuel (CIM-10).
« Ta maladie n'existe pas ! »
Ce cauchemar a incité Tomm-Bub à agir. Il a écrit des chansons, créé des blogs d'information et a finalement déposé une pétition officielle auprès du Bundestag allemand (ID 186702). Son objectif : la mise en œuvre la plus rapide possible de la nouvelle classification de l'OMS, la CIM-11, qui permettrait enfin de diagnostiquer et de traiter cette maladie et de nombreuses autres maladies « invisibles ».
Un délai record au sein de la Commission des pétitions
Mais le gouvernement l'a fait patienter : au lieu des 56 jours habituels, l'examen de sa pétition en vue de sa « publication » a pris un délai record de 195 jours. Une période pendant laquelle les personnes touchées sont restées sans aide.
Malgré le soutien de personnalités telles que le biologiste légiste Dr Mark Benecke, le professeur Jean-Pol Martin, la récipiendaire de la Croix fédérale du Mérite Ute Fischer et l'Association allemande de la maladie de Lyme et de l'encéphalite à tiques, les grands médias ont jusqu'à présent ignoré le problème.
Le temps presse : il ne reste que jusqu'au 11 mai.
« Parfois, j'ai l'impression de vivre un cauchemar hallucinant », confie Tomm-Bub. « Je sais que tellement de gens vivent la même chose que la personne que je connais ! » Pour éviter que ce cauchemar ne se poursuive pour des millions de malades, il a besoin de 30 000 signatures d'ici le 11 mai 2026.
Le pétitionnaire a mis à disposition du public toutes ses informations et ses listes de lecture : « Tout le monde devrait pouvoir accéder à ces informations ! »
